YOUTH CORNER (SERIES): THE MISSING LEGEND ON THE MAP TO GREATNESS

We’re glad to bring to you another depth of insight on the greatness journey we embarked on two sessions ago.
In retrospect, we started this Series by charging you to start early whatsoever it is you dream of achieving. We used notable biblical examples and secular examples worthy of study to make you see the outstanding feat of early starters. One thing is certain, starting what responsible demands of you early, helps you to avoid alot of mistakes and regrets that characterises Youthful Exuberance.

Without any doubt, no one ever set out to achieve a success that is short-lived — one which today he is victorious, tomorrow he is vanquished, and the day after he ceases to exist. Therefore, in this session, we will be introducing to you the secret to enduring and lasting greatness — that which Labour and Discipline can’t offer you in isolation.
Let us first establish this scriptural background that says “it is WHATSOEVER GOD DOETH THAT SHALL BE FOREVER: nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him” (Ecclesiastes 3:14). Let’s further add this scripture to reinforce the foundation: “It is the blessing of the LORD that maketh rich and addeth no sorrow” (Proverbs 10:22).

Success isn’t good success if it isn’t enduring and lasting. A single day of greatness doesn’t count in the books of remarkable history, and as a result we’re not striving to make you achieve such. Rather we are labouring to see you, hear and read of you achieving Enduring and Lasting Greatness. However this only comes by the Hand of God resting upon what you do; and the easiest way to make this happen is simply by seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Matthew 6:33.
How do we know this?
Read what Proverbs 10:16(KJV) says
“The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked(he who ignores God) to sin(death).”

Now what is ‘Seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness’? It is simply placing God first and putting Him first in all you do. This was the secret Job was refering to when he said “As it was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle”. Anyone who labour, commit and place God’s kingdom advancement-will before his/her personal dreams is surely on the path of greatness and exploit sponsored by God. Hence Labour diligently for God first, afterward you labour diligently for your dreams (Just like Elijah told the Widow of Zarephat in 1Kings 17:13).
Remember God is not a taskmaster. He will certainly reward your labour of love bountifully, and He’ll help you fulfilled your dreams & aspirations more than you can by yourself — because a day of God’s favour is worth more than your life-time of labour. (Find time to read up the biography of John D. Rockefeller, a devout Christian, one of the World’s wealthiest men and a major philanthropist).
Let’s wrap-up this session by sharing this insight here: please note, the spiritual controls the physical. What you see happening in the physical has been concluded in the spiritual; therefore get a hold of what happens in your life by building up ‘spiritual muscle’ through godliness and righteousness made available in seeking first the Kingdom of God.
Finally, having done well to dream, please place God first before your big dreams: by so doing you have just enrolled yourself for Greatness without fail.
Till we come your way again with ‘Rudiments of Spirituality’, and “till the coming of the Lord, continually seek Him while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near”. (Isaiah 55:6).
