Congratulations you have made it thus far. Even through the unprecedented turn of the year, you made it. Thank God!

It’s that time of the year when people often make new year resolution: only to be flushed down the drain when the events of the new year takes its toil on them.😊

However relax this session is not about to talk you through making new year resolution, but to help you stay standing even on ‘shifting sand’.

In our previous sessions we have dealt richly on specific values and drives to launch you to where you best belong.
Today we will be charging you to get built for all weather, while steadfastly abiding by your values and drives.

The scripture in Proverbs 24:10 says:
If you faint.. if you quit.. if you give-up.. or if you buckle in the day of adversity.. economic turmoil.. pandemic.. trial.. examination or test, your strength is small.

Thus, that individual can not stay relevant, nor sustain success, neither can he(she) build an enduring fortune — no matter how skilled, intelligent or inventful such an individual is — if he(she) is not built for all weather.

The season of life does not respect Kings nor Queens, Rich nor Poor, Boy nor Girl, the Jews nor the Gentiles. Neither does it respect Saints nor Sinners. Time and Season happens to them all.

The Scripture in Jeremiah 12:5 KJV further emphasized: “If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?”

This implies the individual is not qualified to handle a bigger role when he(she) had quited or given-up on the smaller ‘portfolio’ or vision he(she) was handling or pursing. Also how can such an individual thrive in an unfamiliar terrain, if he(she) had fainted in his(her) comfort zone.

You must have heard the saying ‘life is not a bed of roses’. And to this, we say: There are thorns on life’s bed, to make you cherish, value and nurtue the roses you come-by.

If no single day is the same in history, why then would you expect all the seasons of life to be the same. Therefore PREPARE FOR CHANGES, AND EMBRACE THEM when they come. The earlier one embraces change the better one becomes well suited for life, business, academic or career hurdles, trials and examinations.

Having laid the foundation needed to get built for all weather, and in order not to make you weary in this ‘structural reinforcement we are both building’, let’s conclude this ‘monumental edifice’ in our next publication.

“Till the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, continually seek Him while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near”. (Isaiah 55:6).
