That night, while Jerusalem slept, Heaven sang and rejoiced ‘Christ the King is born’. Many years after the Daughters of Jerusalem wept.

If only Jerusalem knew, she should have made room for the King.

If only the Hoteliers in Judea knew, they should have given Joseph and Mary their best Suite for the Saviour to be born. A Suite that would have brought both eternal and earthly fortune to its owner via tourism…

If only Herod knew, he should not have sought to kill The Giver of Life.

If the Villagers of Samaritan knew, they should not have rejected their long awaited Deliverer.

If only Judas Iscariot knew, he should not have betrayed the Master of the faithfuls.

If only the Pharisee and Sadducees knew, they should not have sought to kill the Son of God.

If only Pilate knew, he should not have passed the sentence to crucify the Lamb of God.

And if death had known its undoing, it would not have accepted to take The only begotten Son of God — the Resurrection and the Life.

And Jesus said unto His disciples:
“Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them”. [Mark 4:11-12]

And so the Jews led Him to be crucified at Calvary, with great company of people, and of women which also bewailed and lamented Him. And Jesus said unto them:

“Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. For behold the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps that never gave suck. Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?” [Luke 23:26-31 (Rephrased)].

Now to you my beloved that have been given to know the mystery of the Kingdom of God, let not the birth and death of the LORD Jesus Christ over you be in vain! Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. Share the love of Christ that has been bestowed unto you to others: all for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Merry Christmas. SHALOM
