‘LONGING FOR EDEN’

We camped by the river of Maigon, on our journey to ‘No-where land’, when I remembered Eden — our Father’s land. We have given ourselves to slavery for too long, and we are completely oblivious of it.

We borrowed silver, gold and frankincense from the land owners, and we bask in the euphoria of enslavery.

We buy, we sell, and we consumed all of our field increase — as one that lives from ‘hand to mouth’. And we considered not the ‘rainy day’.

We abandoned our culture and forsook the doctrines of our founding fathers. We took for ourselves strange women and imbibe the culture & traditions of our task-masters.

We build caves and castles in strange land, but our children are forced to live in holes and huts. And we completely quenched our longing, our hunger to return to Eden. We forgot we are destined to return to our Father’s land sooner or later.

We forgot the beauty of Eden and we desist from telling our children the Majesty of her Builder, and the glory He created therein. A land flowing with milk and honey. A land of love, equity and abundance. A land of peace: where the sun never goes down and the rivers never run dry.

Ah! we have stayed too long in captivity. We have given ourselves too long to strange gods unaware. O! let us return to Eden I cried…

I understood these by the memorabilia our fathers left us. And I set my face unto the Lord God, in fast and in prayer — just as it was taught in our father’s scroll.

‘If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.’ 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV

Brethren it is time to pray, as Daniel interceded for Israel in Daniel 9, for our deliverance and for our Country’s emancipation from her task masters.

Beloved let’s return to our first love. We have indulged in sin and have tolerated wickedness long enough.
May the Lord have mercy on us in Jesus name.
