Beloved, what is it that you are happy about? And what is it that makes you happy?
Is it your beautiful wife?
Is it your handsome husband?
Is it your home?
Is it your nice look?
Is it your child(ren)?
Is it your good job?
Is it the money in your bank account?
Is it your ambition for the future?

And after all these, you tell yourself ‘God is the reason for my happiness’. Is He really? Sincerely search your heart, perhaps you may discover why the happiness is often short-lived.

We multiply in resources, we increase in goods, we delight in the works of our hands, we strive, we labour, and still we remain anxious, unsatisfied and unfulfilled. Why?

It’s simply because man is created in the image of God, and nothing SHORT OF GOD WILL SATISFY MAN.

We delight and relish in the euphoria of material possession. We guised under the self-proclaimed assertion: “atleast I have included God in all that I have and all that I do”.
You might have given justifiable answers to earthly barrage of questions on the reason for your happiness.

But have you answered the echoes of Heaven’s questions resonating in your heart? Perhaps you have stop hearing these, because you have repeatedly silent the voice. Here they are to you again:

#Where are you storing up your treasures?
#Have you trophies to lay at Jesus feet, when the Saviour comes or calls?

Please know this: Happiness tied to material possession will never satisfy nor bring fulfilment, because “When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?” Ecclesiastes 5:11 KJV

“Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven”. Proverbs 23:5 KJV

There is no fulfillment in putting ‘all things first and God second’. Fulfillment and satisfaction only exist in seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, because everything that you need is in God of all things.

Remember enduring happiness lies in a fulfilled life; and nothing short of God gives fulfilment.
