FILLING UP THE VACUUM

emptiness.png

How much more alcohol does it take to satisfy? – another bottle…
How much drug does it take to satisfy? – one more shot.
How much sex does it take to satisfy? – one more episode.
How much money does it takes to be secured? – some more.
Another mode of car, a new model gadget, a higher price apartment, a more beautiful wife…..and always more and more….There is no ending to this thirst!
That is why some rich and affluent people possess all these and many more in abundance, yet still live empty and die miserably…..WHY? IT’S FOOLISHNESS TO TRY TO FILL VACUUM WITH EMPTINESS.

No treasure or possession of the world can fill the vacuum of the heart, except Jesus. He doesn’t just grant peace to the heart today, He secures the soul eternally…

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4:14)”

The key to peace and fulfillment is not in perfection of our circumstances, events or possessions; it’s in Jesus. Focus on the source of peace, not on the source of your frustration.

    John 6:35
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.

The soul of man is created to hunger and thirst for something more than ordinary and many mis interpret this longing hence continuously try to FILL UP THE VACUUM with the pleasures of life.

The ever lasting bread and drink that quenches this hunger and thirst is JESUS.
